Slow Motion with Lip Sync with HMC 150

what i'm guessing is they played the music live for him to sing at 120% then slowed it down to 80% (maybe i'm wrong, but i think that would work pretty well)
 
There was a really good thread on it somewhere... with the math calculated.

Most speed up the music 2x faster... record the artists singing the fast version (at 60p) then slow it down half in post (30P) so it matches the original version.

Ill look for the post - but stupid search is giving me PHP errors.
 
Yup, perform the song at 2x and slow 50% and you get a great looking slomo with perfect sync. I've used this technique many a time!
 
If your end frame rate is going to be 24p... For 60p speed your song up by 250%
For 30p speed your song up by 125%
