Slow motion w/ 60fps footage

I recenlty purchased a 1D Mark IV, and I wanted to do some slow motion. I was told that if I put my 60fps footage on a 30fps timeline in FCP that it would automatically do the slow motion for me, but I'm not seeing these results.

Any suggestions on my workflow, and/or suggested reading on the topic?

You can change the speed of your clip by right clicking on it in the timeline. That should work.

Or just conform your footage in Cinema Tools.
