Hi guys

Im new here and wondering how, by using AGDVX, to shoot a slow motion MTV ; movement is slow yet the lip sync with the song? for e.g Touch My Body (Mariah Carey)

Tips..:)
 
Speed up the playback track when shooting so the singer is singing faster than normal.

Depending on how slow you go, shoot in either 30p for an 80% slowmo, or 60i for more.
 
I've tried to shoot on 25p n sped up 150% audio playback.

But when it came to editing, i couldn't be able to lip sync with the original music.

What should i do now?

Lets say you want to use a 50% slowmo in the final. That's half speed, so you need to double the speed of your playback track= 200%

Is my math right here? I'm sorta theorizing. Anyway, you'll probably have to play with it a little, especially since it will be harder to lipsync to a track that is twice the speed as normal, unless it's a real slow ballad.

Why would you use 25p? Go to 30p or 60i to get a smoother slowmo.

You could shoot a test with a metronome to help figure out how to do it right.
 
Well the way that i do this technique to work the proper way.. Throw your music track in your editing app i use FCP.. Speed up your track by 50% so it would play at 150% burn it to a cd. Shoot your actor singing to the song at that speed...throw back in editing and then slow it down to 66.7% Your normal audio and your footage will match.
