if it's the same as the fs700 it skips lines. So the final output is always 1080, but at 480fps it's really 1/2 HD and 960 is 1/4 HD but the final resolution is still 1080 x 1920
My name is Doug, and I am a slow motion addict. I need an intervention.
It seems 90% of the stuff I shoot for myself is slow-motion. Fortunately, slow-mo sells well as stock so it's a good thing. But I can barely bring myself to shoot "normal" video anymore with my F55, FS7, or FS5. BTW, slow-mo up to 240 fps on the FS5 looks fantastic. But don't waste your time with the 480 and 960 speeds. Garbage.
Yes...since we are confessing...slo-mo on the FS5 is addictive. It is just plain fun to create. My producer brain now asks, on every shoot, what can I slo-mo. I know that I will get over this, but hopefully, not for a while.
My 12 step recovery program started today. Oh crap. Have already fallen off the wagon.
True, funny story... I actually just had a shoot this week - where the director was wanting to shoot everything at 180fps. This included sweeping jib shots. I talked him down from the ledge...
