Hi! I am tryng to enjoy my hvx200 (europe pal) and I was reading a tutorial on how to create a slow motion effect but I have no idea why it didn't worked..
Here is what I did:

- HVX200 camera connected to firewire ( I don't have the p2 cards) to the pc (windows)
- Adobe onlocation to capture the footage
- I set the camera to 720 25p so that the menu allow me to choose the frame rate
- camera set to FILM CAM
- frame rate set to 50 FRAMES
- Syncro set to 200.0
- Shutter set to 200 as well

I take a short fotage

Then I import it in Adoble Premiere pro. Then using the export encoder I save it to WMV 25 frames per second.

But the footage goes to the normal speed!! :crybaby:

Please help!!

im not sure that onlocation is compatible with the variable frame rate thing. dont know that its NOT compatible. but i know some things the hvx doesnt send over firewire.

When you load your clip into Premiere, did you start a project with a 25p timeline, or 50? To have it play back in slow motion, you must load your 50fps clip into a 25p timeline, so your footage that would normally be played back at 50fps (normal speed for this clip) would be stretched out on a 25p timeline causing it to play back at half speed.

for example:

[------1 second of 50fps footage------]
[------2 seconds of 25p timeline-------]

Hi! I have finally found how to create the slow motion effect.
Actually I tried to import the movie in a 50fps timeline but it didn't worked. To make it work I had to RIGHT CLICK over the movie (top left panel) and adjsut teh "interpretation" of the frames. From the 50 frames per second I lowered it to 25fps and BAMP! the slow motion appeard!!

Thanks for your help! :)
