Slow Motion Issue

Hi all.... I'm sure this is something pretty simple but I tried out the S&Q motion setting today for the first time. Clicked the knob, hit execute. Menu item is 60 fps. When I bring it into FCP 7, it just plays regular speed and treats it like 720p60.

On my EX-1, it automatically makes it slow-mo and I didn't have to to anything extra. I think Cinema Tools will re-time the clip but is there an easier way like with the EX-1

Thanks much....

The timeline is 29.97 but it's not even in the timeline. it plays back regular speed in the viewer window. When I use S&Q on the EX-1, it plays back slo-mo in the clip viewer as well.

I thought about applying a speed effect but wondered if there would be any loss there. The EX-1 way of doing it really looked good.

UPDATE: I tried to apply a 50% speed effect to it. I don't think it's as smooth as the EX-1.

How does it play on the camera itself? It should play slo-mo.

FCP only has preselect time remapping, try 50% slow and it will solve your problem.

I figured it out. I had the S&Q Motion / On Format menu set to 1280 60p so the ratio defaulted to 60/60. Once I changed the On Format to 1280/29.97, now I can shoot at 60fps. And the audio is disabled, just like I'm used to.
