Slow Motion for action sequence.

Hello, IM planing of doing a karete video, all with black background, to do some mothion graphics stuff.
My question is, what are the best setting to capture slow motion with the DVX100?
Ande the other question es. In waht program does the slow mo gets better resutls (after effects, fcp) and their setting (frame blending, fps, etc)

The answer to your first question is:

Recording interlaced video (50i or 60i) and in your NLE playback at 50 % if 50i and at 40% if 60i.

This way you'll get the smoothest slow motion but you'll lose some picture resolution.
