I used to do the 60i trick on the PAL dvx all the time. Now I have a HVX and I capture straight to FCP because I only have one P2 card and it's quicker than keep off loading.
so I have to shoot in 1080
But when I shoot 1080 footage, slow down to 50% and deinterlace, it doesn't look super smooth liek the stuff on the dVX I used to shoot... what's going wrong here?
I searched the forums and most people are of course using the 720... why isn't the 60i trick working, should I just shoot 720 for slow mo and uprez?
