slow mo explosions

Ok so i'll be working on thismtv type show in a couple of weeks. they all the cut scences lower thirds and intro outro based on slow mo of stuff being blowed up!:badputer::shocked: sounds fun yeah thats what I said. Any I was thinking of going with the HPX 500 at 60 fps to 24 fps, But I don't even have an hvx so I have no Idea how slow 60 fps is.

Thats why I posted here I was woundering if anybody has some footage of something being destroyed. could be as simple as dropping a water baloon on the floor.

If it's not slow enough for some stuff maybe I could get a casio ex-f1 for the really fast stuff.

60 fps is 2.5 times slower than 24 fps. Actions that take two seconds in real time will take five seconds in slow motion.

If you're going to TV, you might be using 30 fps, so things won't be as slow.

If you have software and time, you can extrapolate frames. Usually a 2:1 ratio works pretty well, anything more than that gets jumpy. You can also duplicate frames, which doesn't look expensive, but can give you what you need.

Well there shouldn't been a problem doing 24 p for these shots once it's aired right?

Any Ideas of how the casio EX-F1 would look on onve aired. I mean it would only be on a couple seconds. I mean the slow mo from that would be great.

Not much of a budget at first, maybe when the show been on for a while, but thats why I was thinking about the casio EX-F1 it does drop resolution the higher the frame rate. But hey high speed footage is always ugly any way. I am sure I would use the panasonic for some stuff and swich to the casio for the really fast stuff. or even use both at the same time.
