Slow evening with the 700 in the park

Yes more slomo, sorry. Trying to dial in the FS700.

Shot with Canon 100-400 f4-5.6 IS L. Still playing with PPs. And trying to figure out exposure for slomo. This is shot with a Canon 100-400 f4-5.6 IS L at 240 fps 180 degree shutter (1/480). It is hard to track focus with f5.6. It was a bit dark cloudy just before sunset, normally you get great light at sunset in this park, but this is a very rainy summer for us here.

I am using the Metabones adapter it works great, and I am pretty happy with my very light Miller Solo with carbon legs, it really is smooth if you balance it.
I am practicing for an upcoming commercial shoot using slomo and long lenses. The Peaking works pretty well in camera, but I did miss about 20% of the real tight stuff at 400.

Thanks to Luciano for his Tai Kwon Do demo. It is nice to be young.

A year and a half of frustration with Birger ended the moment I turned the fs700 on with Metabones II.

What PP did you use? Personally, I liked #3 / ITE709 with chroma and detail dialed down to -3.

Scott

(edit) Interesting choice to go flat with Cine4, then boost the chroma and surprised to see even with a -6 black level you still had to crush the blacks in post. I'll give it a try.

Yes the Metabones is perfect so far even with the Canon 2X and the 100-400.

This was shot with:

I am trying for a look that is good out of the cam not so flat.

The dynamic range on these settings is impressive. Most of these shots needed just a little crushing of the blacks. The light was really dull but I did not increase sat in post. As you may notice the light changed quite a bit I used 56K as my white point, no CC at all in post except contrast adjustment as mentioned above.

Here's a frame grab shot today in the Cascade Range at about 4000' near Bend (higher altitude, clear air). No grading though possible to knock down the hot spot on forehead (should have used powder).
