Slots switched?

Anyone know how I can have the camera indicate the correct slot thats occupied by an SxS card?

If I have a card in the A slot, the display indicates it's in the B slot.

Wow Chris... That sounds like a malfunctioning camera. The display should be automatic AND correctly indicating which slot is active.

Yeah, I'm guessing it's a technical issue with the camera but I'm in no hurry to send it out for service because it's been out twice in the past 9 months. The first time I sent it out, they sent it back with a non-functioning HDMI output.

Bummer... I had very good service with Sony Repair in Los Angeles. I guess that can be maddening, but being without the camera for 2 weeks might be impossible too.

is it an ex1 or an ex1r? what firmware version is it at? Easiest way to wipe it clean is to update the firmware, hopefully that'll clear out any heebeejeebees

Did it come back from repair like this? I know of a couple of folks that had theirs come back with the connectors crossed on the slots inside which caused the exact same symptom... The tech that worked on the camera accidently hooked up the connectors on the opposite slots so on the screen it shows the wrong slot active A is B and B is A.... All the cases of this I have heard that was the case, nothing serious so hopefully this is what it is in your case as well.

I'm assuming it did come back from the service center like this. These guys must be watching TV while they do repairs. As soon as I know I can live without the camera for a month, I'm sending it back (a 3rd time - awesome!) It's a good thing I got the extended warranty, but a bad thing the repair service is a joke.
