Slomo to Regular Speed

What if you shoot a clip at, say, 48fps (or whatever), and you realize you should have grabbed it at regular speed (say, 30fps).

What's the possibility of "speeding-up" an overcranked clip to make it "normal"? Possible? Does it look good enough?

Anyone ever done this?

48 to 24 works perfectly; 60 to 30 works perfectly. 48 to 30 ... eh, you can probably get acceptable results in most circumstances, but there might be some ghosting and frame blending going on. Interviews will probably look perfect, a basketball game not so much.
