Slo Motion test

Dude... You killed it! Mine didn't come out at all like this... Kudos.... Who needs overcranking? haha

Wow, really nice... I like it.

There is a film look, there is a video look and there is a DVX look that is all it's own..

skateboarding clips. i just figured that i shouldnt shoot 16:9 and use after effects because it makes the lines wiggle. but anyway i got this slomotion thing goin on. compression kinda made it a bit more traily then ussual but check it out.

the footage look greats, the colors are awesome .
is there any chance of reducing the strobing effect ?

That slo-mo came out great. Good job. How'd you do it? Looks a lot better than other slow motion I've seen for a cam like this.

Great footage! Please do tell us how you did it. Vegas? Final Cut? Any external plug-ins (Twixtor, etc.)?

Wow, that was the best slo mo I've seen on this site. I want to try that right now!!
Please post a break-down of your 'recipe' to help us along.
It had a very 35 lens look, too. Nice!

Post a breakdown.

The footage looks really nice. Great Job, After seeing this and being inspired, i searched the internet and forums to find out the best way to get 50p from the footage that i have been shooting on my sony z1. A solution that i found was JES Deinterlacer which is a free software that has many different deinterlacing functions, one of which is to deinterlace both fields, making them individual frames leaving you with a 50p result from the 1080 50i footage. I downconverted to 576p while i was deinterlacing in JES. One problem that i found was when i deinterlaced and then imported this in to FCP and tried to slow this down to 50% on a 25fps timeline i got a strange result, the image was flickering and jumping. The solution to this was when choosing settings in JES was to check the box 'Double Movie Duration' which slows your clip down as it exports. When i then imported this in to FCP the clips where already slowed to 50% and played back fine on the timeline. Any way i am happy with the results i have so far but would love to hear if anyone else has different methods to making clips 50p. This was my first attempt at it and was very much trial and error. Here is the footage shot on the Sony Z1 (HDV) and then imported in to JES and deinterlaced and downconverted to 576p.
