Slo-Mo not working in FCP

I am cutting 7D footage in a 29.97 timeline.

I converted some 60p footage to 29.97 in Cinema Tools and imported it into FCP.

Problem is, it looks interlaced and lower resolution.

Any idea why?

I've done this before and it worked perfectly.

Thnx!

Did you do log-transfer to ProRes 422 from the MOV/THM filesets using Canon's plugin, did you check if the plug-in was set to 422 instead of AIC?

Using raw MOV files from the compact flash/flash image is not going to work well.

Also check your sequence settings, it may be straight NTSC DV so it's converting the HD footage for you on the fly.

That might be it.

What is the proper sequence setting?

thnx
