SLIK tripod help

I just got a SLIK 504 QF II tripod today at a charity shop for a super low price but the problem is it's missing its release plate. The only one I've seen on eBay is this one here:

The problem is that it's a lot more expensive than what I payed for the tripod. Does anyone know a good source of cheap plates or is this my only option?

B&H also has the quick-release plate you need for $12.95. The one on eBay is a dollar less, and both offer free shipping.

You say that's more than you paid for the tripod and head. The reality is that the tripod and head, new, sell for $130. The head alone sells for $65 new. So even if you paid $10 (less than the new QR plate), that means you'd be paying $22 total for the system that sells for $130. That's still a pretty steep discount.

Yeah, I know. I actually payed the equivalent in my local currency of about $3 which was quite astounding. I guess I just felt like $12 was a bit steep for a piece of plastic with a screw in it. But in looking around it seems to be the going rate so I'll probably get one soon.
