I just got a new HDTV and Blu-Ray player for the playroom. It's a Panasonic TCP50-G10 and BDP60 Blu-Ray player (on sale at B&H).
I have to say this combination plays back SD widescreen HMC-150 projects far-far better than the other 2 HDTV systems I have and had been reviewing the projects on. It's really a big difference.
I think we all knew the playback devices have a lot to do with what you see on the screen, but I never knew there could be such a wide variation. I guess the scalers and filters are moving ahead on the newer models. It has certainly cut back noise, artifacts and especially flicker.
Also, the SDHC slot on both the player and the TV play back the SDHC card straight out of the HMC-150. Kinda nice.
