Since this is the catch-all cafe, and I'm sure there's not a thread for things like this I'll start here and maybe get bumped to the right place...

Someone asked me to copy a zillion or two of their slides to DVD (with or without the eggroll) and would pay for the 'box' that will do the deed. I have googled til my eyes hurt and only came up with lots of places that will do it for you. In reality, this is the route I want them to go but want to find a source for the 'box' that has a pricetag high enough to convince them that one of these services is the route they should go, if you know what I mean...

So, have you come across such a box? And is the price high enough to convince them to use one of their services?

As always, Muchas Gracial por y'alls help,

Juan

On the flipside, does anyone know of any service that will convert digital photos to slides? Sometimes I think it would be a handy service to have available.

Most local photo shops can do thsi conversion both ways at a high quality.

I just had a Slide converted to .jpg 2 days ago succesfully.

Might need to be a split job where you budget for a nice new DVD authoring system, and then add the budget to get the slides scanned at a photo place.

Photo shops are having pretty cutthroat competition these days so get a quote on a per slide basis and then see what kind of deal they will make on the large quantity.

Adobe has an photo album product that can be used to make some nice slide shows that render in the PDF player.
