Does anyone know what lighting fixtures are called that have 4 or so distinct bulbs in the same fixture? I've seen them used a lot in music videos as kickers behind the band.

Thanks,

Jon

Maxi-brute is definitely along the right lines. Do any companies make a fixture with say only 4 bulbs? 2x2

How often are Maxi-Brute lights still used? What situations normally?

the two by two's are the version using 650 par 36 bulbs vs 1k par 64 bulbs in the maxi's.

Maxi brutes are used alllll the time.
Bounced for fill, pushed through large frames for key, with vnsp bulbs highlighting backgrounds, etc..

These are used a lot for concert blinders: http://bmlighting.com/site/. They have interchangeable lenses.
