Skin tones from movie posters

Lots of it mastering mask un-sharpening, and of coarse touch-up filters and masking.
But I would say most of those posters are custom scripts, actions, and brushes by the people who make those posters (Such our resident DVXer, Antomic)

Many of those posters are also pieces of different elements. Like you might see 1 person in the poster, but it could actually be pieced together by 3-10 different people or shots of that person or a body double.
 
Yea you can't just apply a plugin and cross your fingers in hope that you will very well get "that look." Remember garage in garbage out. Shoot you talent at the best possible quality (makeup, lighting, camera functions) then retouch.
