Skateboarding with a DVX

I liked that. Nice shots with the sillouhettes(?) those looked good. Although I liked the music, it seemed a little slow at points. It looks great though. What were you using for stabilization?

I really liked it. I read the title and didn't expect much, but you impressed me with the shot selections and the colors. Someone already mentioned it, but I agree the music was great but slow at times.

I kept wanting to know more of the story that went along with the video. Is it just cool shots of skating or is there a story line that goes along with it?

Very nice! I agree that it made me want to know more about the story behind the shots. I also thought it was nice that you didn't just show the tricks they landed, or the gnarly crashes, but included a more realistic portrayal of skating.

The fisheye was a bit distracting at points, but maybe that's just me.

*Skateboarding with a Heart*

Excellent work. I'm not usually a fan of the skateboarding flicks, but this was different. GREAT composition on MANY of those shots, and it's paying off.

I think what I like about it is that it's got a story to it... it's not just a bunch of random tricks, but instead you've put time into it to make it a piece of art. Bravo

p.s. LOVE the music... what is that????

that's some great cinemotagraphy, very very good composition, the colors are also amazing, natural or CCs? - great work...

not your typical skate vid. I thought it was great, very dramatic. Music selection was excellent. Colors were vivid, you got some great angles as well. I'd like to hear about your camera settings as well.

I remember vicfilm posting this for you on sp. Its awesome.... its on my ipod. Some of the fisheye stuff felt like it did'nt belong

So this is this guys' only post here in the forums. We'll just see if he come's back to discuss it (probably not)...

thanks for the feeback everyone.
i somewhat agree about the fisheye being distracting, but the video is marketed primarily at skateboarders. ive caught enough flack already from the skate community about it being "boring." had i not included some "regular" looking skateboarding shots, skateboarders wouldnt know what the hell it was. i dont like to comprimise on what i do, but i have to keep in mind who im making it for.
as far as settings go, i tend to shoot 24p with a higher shutter speed than people around here tend to suggest. i color correct pretty much everything post and have no real set setting that i use. just tweak everything until it agrees with me.

thanks again for all the feeback!
