wow, that footage is amazing, very film like. is that a stock dvx? what were your settings? did u have any special filters? and howd you CC? Very nice job, i wish i could make my dvx look like that
 
Well I accidentally shot in letterbox on some shots, worst mode in the world, and when I color graded it made the letterbox look wierd so before I compressed in QT PRO I brought a frame into photoshop and measured the frame to be 372 in height so when I compressed in the size tab I put 372 in the height and set to crop.
 
Looks like your getting used to your dvx pretty fast :)
Isn't that song in the film "better luck tomorrow"? Good choise.
 
nice indeed! i would recommend to take the opacity down for those film clutters to make them blend more with the vid, but other than that, nice :)
P.S. i remember this song from a movie called: "Dot the I", recommend to every1 ;)
 
the song is blood on the motorway by dj shadow, the song following mashin on the motorway on the uk release "The Private Press"
 
That looks like HVX footage.... are you sure you aren't pulling my leg ;)

I believe you. That is absolutely amazing footage. I'm wondering what settings you used on the camera. I assume that's 24p footage?
 
its mostly the master ped. and the fake bleach bypassing youre using. a lot of people think that higher master ped looks like film, but i think the negative numbers for master ped looks more realistic
 
I didn't do a bleach bypass, I had my master ped at -10 and I used magic bullet to add contrast and the turned it to the cool + numbers.
 
i mean higher master ped, less contrasty. bleach bypass is characterized by colder looking film with higher contrast, so i assumed you used the filter. the one you used is quite similar. looks like **** imo. stay away from anything that does that to your footage

Sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree. I think it looks great. Not the best I've seen, but by no means do I think it looks like sh*t.

How long did it take to render? That's my only detorant from MB.
