Sami, awesome job, definitely worth the download. I loved the dolly shots along the skatepark floor. Also great editing. What were your settings on the camera? 24P, 30P, squeeze mode, etc? Let a brotha know.
Excellent footage. I am buying this camera very soon and a majority of footage filmed will be skateboarding. Any tips filming skating at 24p? Thanks! btw francheezie - I doubt a dolly was used. He probably held it by the handle while skating along.
That was excellent, except I had the same problem as DCERVENKA with the audio dropping out for most of the video. That was disappointing because I really enjoyed the interviews and stuff before the audio fell out. However, the footage was really good! Definately up to the MTV, Viva La Bam, Pimp My Ride (etc) type of reality TV standard.
quick question:
How many cameras did we have on the arena?
>What were your settings on the camera?
interlaced PAL, 4:3, 1/125, F4-4.8 (inside shots), scene file 1 (with little tweaks), letter box was added in post prod.
>I doubt a dolly was used.
Correct, I was standing on a skateboard while a friend was pushing me slowly, then we did some timeremapping. in edit (that shot is actually played backwards).
>with the audio dropping out for most of the video
Music is disabled from web version due to the copyright issues.
>How did you do that opening shot?
first some timelapse on a ferry -> zoom at the end to place where the car continues -> driving around city hiding cuts to turns. A few hours of time remapping in edit.
