GH3 Six Feet Under - Lumix G7

Nice job!

- Was the high shutter speed an intentional creative choice? (I found the stroboscopic look a bit distracting, and somewhat incongruous with the music bed.)
- Did you shoot in 4K? If so, consider nudging the framing around a bit to create more visual tension and interest. (The subject is mostly centered much of the time, which I think works against the mood you are trying to establish.)

High shutter is due to forgotten ND filters. I wanted it to be as shallow as possible so high shutter was my option. :)

This was shot in 1080 60fps.

Thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated! :)

Was going to say it was probably edited in a 24p timeline for the slow-motion, but there's no slow-motion.

The NLE dropping the frames will further enhance the "strobe" motion, but dance videos are able to get away with this more than other videos IMO.

Many music videos with the 'in your face' sequences are shot with a high-shutter or a high frame rate for the look in the 24p/25p edit.

There's quite a bit of slow motion in this edit. 0:03-0:28 0:31-0:38 is all slow motion and a hand full of other shots throughout the edit. :)

Honestly, I skipped around. But watching back now, sometimes it's tough to tell...like with shots that don't have much motion or it looks like he's moving slow.

Which lens(es) did you use?

Panasonic 20 1.7 for most of it. There's a few shots with the Olympus 45mm f1.8 and I think one shot in there is Olympus 9-18mm

i thought g7 did just fine.

folks think the lil brother g7 is "just" a b cam but you proved otherwise!

good going ;-)

i also very much like the grade, especially the lead's skin tone.

care to share your color profile settings?

again, nice job.

be well.
