FAQ Sirui 50mm 1.8 anamorphic

Hey people.

So I ordered the Sirui 50mm 1.8 1.33 anamorphic lens. I was going to get one of those Vazen anamorphic lenses but the price of the Sirui was to tempting, plus I have an FX9 and no 4/3 cameras.

I'm enjoying the f--k out of it. Mind you, I sill haven't used it in an actual project, but I like that it's small, light, sharp, and cheap.

You do get the oval shape out of focus lights, and a little of the streak. combine that with the FX9 S-Cinetone and the image looks rather cinematic straight out of camera.

I ordered a second one as back up, in case they are fragile and one fails me on a real shoot, because, wow, the price!

I can't wait to use it on a creative job.

I just wanted to share.

Wear a mask/ABLM
 
How much of the full frame 6k scan does it cover? I would love to see a screen grab if possible.

I thought it vignettes on full frame unless you put a 16x9 adapter on the front of it or I’ve seen one guy just fix it in post.

I’d like to try it on my Fs5
