single shot cinema???? WTF!!!!!!

lol...ball, a guy has an identical name.

grug, whats your bb name?

btw, has anyone does a single shot car shot like that around here? link?

At first, I thought this thread was about that Russian film The Ark, where it was all done in one take. But those crane shots were freaky cool.

It's "Grug" (didn't see that one coming did you! ) what's yours?

lol..its Filmmakerr..and I know you didn't see that one coming.

ps, it being CGI is the first thing that popped in my head too..I wanted to believe it, but then I let go, its just great work.

whats the big deal about puting a jib on a dolley? the car shot was cool, but its a camera rig thats passed through the car.

That thru the car shot was the best one to me. I dont know if I would want to be walking along that bridge just by myself, let alone with a big jib attatched to me.

nah, your missing axis' with that, there's more going on here

I agree, maybe not this device exactly, but probably something more complex like others have mentioned. I think that this is basically the same rough idea though, walking with some sort of a light jib that is capable of rotating the camera mount. It would also have to extend to 12 ft at least since he was able to raise it up pretty high in some of those shots. It is probably something he built.

Of course he could have set up a dolly and a jib for the bridge shots. The major problem with that is if a train comes along.

Maybe this should be a new type of camera rig; the "Steadi-Jib?" Could be great for footchase sequences or other action scenes.
