Since its seems Panasonic is interested in addressing the needs of its users, I would consider it a great boon to have the ability to genlock 2 cameras incorporated into the HVX200. There is a growing chorus of users seeking the ability to do 3D effectively and adding this ability to a camera of the size and capabilities of the HVX200 would yield an explosiion of creativity in this area.
I can't imagine it would be of any great reengineering difficulty and it would place Panasonic at the forefront of - or even create - a market of 3D independent content creators.
