Sin City - The Real DVD

While I really enjoyed the film -- my attention did lag during the middle a little just because of the lack of a single protag / problem to deal with for 2 hours in a single arcing 3 act structure -- you know how will so in so that I've come to invest in get out of X jam. But same thing happened with Kill Bill for me. But I still loved the movie.

yes it did jdanstan, i was referring to the movie as a whole....i guess surf didn't get it.

no I got the film but I was waiting for something greater.

Well I have to say that this is the best dvd package EVER! It basically has everything.....the QT directing uncut directing part was interesting jsut to see how the actors and directors communicate. The film school was pretty good and I haven't watched the cooking school yet....but I'm not that interested in cooking.

My favorite part is the original comic book version of "The Hard Goodbye" that comes with it. That was just great.

Everything else is aweosme or good.

A must buy...no question.

i got the copy but the us and canadian are different..****ing bullshit
..the us is recut/extended/unrated the canadian is recut/extended

so far the canadian is missing the blooper reel and Giving the Characters Life: Casting the film is not on the canadian version. what a rip off.

also amazon says that the LONG Take is 17 mins, on the canadian package it says 14mins

and apparently the EXTENDED version is not WIDESCReen..can somoene confrim that? im to lazy to put it ont he player to check

if i make a movie and a dvd comes out for it...im going to have a "Love Making School" extra feature....where i teach you the intricate hispanic/french/german/polish ways of making love like no other.

Yeah, RR promised a 10 minute f*cking school for the next dvd on Once Upon a TIme in Mexico. Guess he lied, now the ball is in Rich's Court.

Also, in defense of RR and the two releases of Sin City- If you read ANY interview (at least all the ones I read) with RR about Sin City, he plugged the special edition that would be coming out a few month after the first. RR was always very forthcoming that a 2nd edition was coming. That's how I knew to wait.

yeah i appreciated the heads up.. but it woulda been nice to have this disk 2 months ago, but its not like i lost any sleep over it.

Girls trying out the Breakfast Burritos recipe tonight and if they are good it all worth it.

The whole canada thing blows.. I didnt get the bloopers either, but to be honest i dont really watch those anyways.

Yeah i would agree...i got that and the sin city dvd. I was suprised with how great the Kong diaries were though...especially since it was only 30 bucks! They really know what makes us nerds happy...certificates of authenticity....cool production art stills.....its great.

couldn't you watch the production diaries online for free? why would you pay money to watch them?

eh. i used to love robrod BEFORE sin city. granted i respect the man for stepping up and moving on to digital. the el Mariachi trilogy was a masterpiece but sin city is just pure disappointment for me.

I think things started to change with Once upon a time... but man would i kill for that guys house.
