Simultaneously using the LCD and an HDMI Monitor

Hi All,

I'm trying to use the lcd screen to operate the camera while it outputs to an hdmi monitor and the onboard lcd screen turns off when I plug in an hdmi cable. I've checked the menus and the manual and I can't find the solution. Any hints? Thank you for your time.

Go to HDMI Settings on the last menu group and once you select that you'll see HDMI Info Display. Turn that off. That will put the video on your monitor without the info, but the LCD will still work and it will have all the info on it.
