simulating the 2x crop in final cut pro

I want to simulate what an 8mm lens would look like on the GH1, and want to simulate the 2x crop factor for this lens.

In Final Cut Pro, do I just take a sample image shot with an 8mm lens, drop it on the timeline, and double the scale under the motion tab??

Like for example,

if the scale is set to 60, do I just adjust the scale slider to 120 and that should simulate the 2x crop being applied to that lens on my GH1, right?

Just curious. I hope I'm not confusing anyone.

Thanks

Yes that's correct, but allow a bit of extra width for 16:9. The GH1's 2x crop sensor is actually a bit wider than the standard 2x crop 4/3rds sensor. Extra resolution.

My 10mm Canon lens still looks pretty nice and wide :)

What 8mm lens do you have? That would be 16mm in terms of a full frame 35mm camera on the GH1.
