Shot with Canon FD lenses - 28mm f2.8 & 50mm f1.4. All in 60fps and high shutter speed - I think 1/250.

Thats cool and a great way to learn and discover what this camera can do.

Those situations do test the camera and you made it work. Bet you know a bit more about it since you shot it.

Thanks, Shooter. I come from the HVX plus adapter era. :-) It was nice to shoot something in a light set up. I like stark contrast and that's what I was going for here. It's a good camera but there are limitations just like everything.

I have shot with many cameras ....film, video, dvx, hvx, adapters, HD , SD............ etc... and you need to know the tool that you work with.

In the end...its about..... light and the eye. ( simple really)

Nice, I like the overall look and feel of this. It reminds of something I can't quite put my finger on. How do you think the shutter speed affected the look?

Thanks. Well, that shutter speed makes it more stroby, of course. Sometimes I end up using the shutter as a way to lower the exposure because I don't want to alter the f stop on the lens. This was one of those situations where I wanted the shallowest depth of field and an extra neutral density filter would have helped.

Nice job. I really like the look of this. Do you mind sharing your settings? Did you have to grade much? Thanks.

Not much grading. I find that what does the trick for me (most of the time) is a slight desaturation, mids to a shade of between yellow & red to warm up the image (if going for a warm look), and levels adjustment to keep the darks in the deep black. That's it.

Settings not mentioned are set to zero. All else:
Detail level -5.
V detail -5
DRS to off
Gamma HD norm
Knee to auto
Matrix to norm2
