I have tried to capture the mxf files every single way to sundown and I am still getting error messages so I am hoping this is a simple solution.
Using FCP 5.0.1 on a dual 2.5gig
I have various test footage in 720p from 24p to 30pn and I am following the directions to get the computer to link with the camera. The computer recognizes the camera and sees it as a removeable drive. I fire up FCP and try the P2 capture. It sees the files or at least the .bmp files and then I get an error msg stating the files are corrupt. I have tried dropping the files straight into the hard drive and again FCP sees the files but says they are corrupt. I have tried the "log and capture" method and that is no good either. Perhaps it is just late and my being tired is making me stupid, but a helpful hint in the right direction would be most appreciated.
Thanks
JP
