I just got the external Mic for my camera and have it on channel 2, but is there a way to shut down the built in mic? or is it best to have them both running while recording audio? if i tap on each they both are sending me signals
You could turn down the gain on Channel 1 or set Channel 1 Select Switch to Input1 with no mike attached. You can also set the Channel 1 Select Switch to Input 2, then the external mike would record to both channels. ( Page 16 of the manual )
