SIMILO: requesting the original thread be re open

In case any of you haven't seen it I suggest you look up the most brilliant film shot with a dvx and probably any proconsumer camera. SIMILO by Macgregor. Unfortunately for any of us wanting insight into the making of this masterpiece the thread was removed for some reason. I emailed the director/dp and he responded with this.

Yeah, it was never finished, but there was a long thread in dvxuser talking about it, i think it was hidden but if you speak with the moderator i´m sure he can put it back.


So i am asking the moderator to do us a favor and repost this thread. I am sure i am not the only one dying to read it.

Beautiful film!! I went thru about 40 pages of the original thread to see how that beautiful soft white effect was achieved in the white bedroom. Silky smooth whites while retaining detail. Is that the lighting, G35 or post work?

that was dvx?! for some reason i swear that was shot on an fx1e...maybe that was another macgregor thing?
