silly question: does the FS100 output 444 or 422?

So someone I know bet me that the FS100 outputs 4:4:4, when I am quite certain it only puts out 4:2:2. SONY literature, and most sites say 4:2:2. His argument is that it's "422 scaled" to 4:4:4. Last I heard you pretty much needed dual SDI to handle the data rate, so at least an F3 (with a Gemini, Cinedeck, or better to record it).

From a number of reputable sites, including of course SONY: "HDMI Output with Embedded Time code for 4:2:2 Uncompressed digital output."

The FS100 outputs an uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2 signal or a 8-bit RGB signal through it's hdmi port. Some have reported that the "4:4:4" RGB signal is in fact a 4:2:2 signal.

As I understand it, it's 422. However, if you plug it into a device which requires an RGB 444 input, it will "pad" to 444 by duplicating the colour infoin order to be compatible.
