Silk and Flag kit?

Found this Matthews RoadRags Kit on BH and it looks pretty decent, though it only comes with 2 frames. At around $200 I'm not sure if it's a good deal.

Anyone got any advice on this kit or have any other recs? Appreciate the help.

Oh I'm just a DSLR shooter shooting single subjects mainly. Nothing grand!

For the price, the Road Rags are a great tool to have at your disposal. I'd go for the larger size if you can swing it, for a bit more flexibility on location.

There's an eBay seller - "Canvas Grip" - that sells flags every bit as good as my Matthews stuff, great prices. The 18x24 Road Rags size may not be what you reach for very often.

Keep in mind that on a budget, black foamcore is almost as good as a black flag. A little harder to position (since you're clamping a sheet into a grip head vs. a metal rod which can rotate)... but much lighter, you can often put a 3x4 foam sheet on a lightweight stand without sandbags.

What's really handy are diffusion and net frames - you can really do some subtle stuff with those. You might pay a bit more than the road rags kit, but with only two frames, all the fabric choices aren't a huge help if you need three nets, a flag and a diffusion on a shot.

Can't advise you the best way for your situation of course, but I generally take a couple 2 x 3 flags and diffusion, several different nets, and a pile of foamcore for basic setups. Long skinny flags are very cool (though you can cut foamcore of course).
