my brother built this for me to make my first feature. i had some locations that were w/o a power source, and he concocted this apparatus that can deliver 5,000watts of continuous power for 6-8 hrs. it was only used for one project...
it's built using 6 sealed, deep cycle, gel cell batteries in tandem with an inverter that converts it to AC/DC. you'd need a dolly and some strong friends to get it around, but it worked like a charm! there is nothing but a nearly inaudible fan on the inverter...
because of its girth and weight...it would need to be locally sold. Dallas, TX. $2500 will have you set for at least the next 5-6 yrs. (8 yrs. with proper care) for silent location power.
