Hi all,

does anybody know if focus and iris on sigma lenses with Four Thirds mount can be adjusted via a remote controller like the Manfrotto PFI? I'm considering to buy the 30mm f1.4 for my AF100 and the PFI will arrive tomorrow.

Thanks a lot,
Diego

Has Sigma released any MFT versions of its lenses yet? I have read that they are considering it, but there are none listed at B&H or anywhere else that I can find.

As far as I know, the Sigma Olympus lenses are for Four-thirds mount and you will need either the Olympus or Panasonic 4/3rd to M4/rd adapter. I don't believe Sigma has made Micro 4/3rd mount lenses.

This might not pertain to using the PFI, but I have the 18-50mm F2.8 and the 30mm F1.4 and the Panasonic adapter. On my GH2, the 18-50mm autofocuses okay, usually in a 1-2 seconds. It's nowhere near as fast as M4/3 mount lenses. The 30mm f1.4 takes a long time to autofocus unless it's almost already focused correctly to begin. Sometimes it can't even find the focus.

But that being said, I would think the PFI would be able to be used to manually focus the Sigmas since the Olympus/Panasonic adapter is electronic and passes on autofocus readings.

Best,
Andy

Andy,
thanks for your help.
And you're right on the mount....Sigma lenses are FT not MFT. I really don't know why I read Four-Thirds on their website and ended up writing MFT....
I edited my post.
