Sigma 70-200 2.8: Best possible AF telephoto zoom w/ decent lowlight for FS700 (?)

For a long time I've wanted to have a telephoto zoom lens that has autofocus and decent lowlight for the FS700. This is mainly for sports applications when it would really be a help. I've been using my Canon 100-400mm with Metabones speedbooster and adapter; it's an ok lens with great range but a little soft at the longer ends of the zoom. I've been pondering stepping up to Canon L 70-200 ii for a long time, but the lack of continuous autofocus for video has always prevented me from pulling the trigger even though it's probably the best lens on the market in that range. On paper, I think this is the best option: the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 (Sony A Mount) with the LA-EA4 A to E mount adapter. I know the corners are soft on the long end when it's opened up all the way, but this doesn't bother me too much for what I want it for. The biggest perks for me are it is stabilized, has constant aperture, and autofocus; it also doesn't break the bank too much. Has anyone used this combo with the FS700 who would recommend it?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think any other lens than the Sony kit lens will do autofocus. You are saying this setup does that? Cause if it does that's great!

There are other lenses that do autofocus. This one in the Sony A Mount does phase detection autofocus with the LA-EA4 adapter. You are limited to a f/3.5 for video, but that's not a huge problem for me. I haven't seen any real world examples with the FS700 which is what's keeping me from buying it.

You might check into the Tamron version of the lens. Mine is for Nikon with an adapter for aperture on the FS700 so I can't evaluate the A/F, but otherwise I really like the lens. Macro is especailly good.
