Sigma 50-150 f2.8 zoom (Nikon mount) APO DC HSM EX - $550 + shipping & paypal
covers APS -C /Digital frame size - not full frame. Includes UV filter and caps
Excellent condition - clean glass and ext, very sharp and parfocal in my tests.
For APS size cameras its the perfect range for interviews when you are close and want one lens that can get a WS and a CU as the 24/28-70 and 70/80-200 won't be able to get both shots if you are around 6-8 feet from the subject.
This is the first version of this lens , not the new OS .
It smaller and lighter than either the new Sigma OS or the 70/80-200 lenses.
I bought this for that range and was stunned by how sharp it was even at f2.8 , beating my Nikon 80-200 ED f2.8!
I am selling because I bought the new OS version which is even better (stunning) - though quite heavy.
Minimum focus is 3' 3" (aprox) and the focus throw to infinity is about 45 degrees ( not bad for an auto lens)
No OS and no iris ring, focus ring is standard direction not Nikon reversed.
If you want a budget zoom for interviews, its a great deal. Don't be afraid of the Sigma name.
