Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8-4.5 (for Nikon mount)

I just got the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8-4.5 (for Nikon mount) for my FS100 (have the novaflex adapter). Obviously the OS/AF system wont work with this configuration...question, would OS/AF work on this lens if it was for a canon mount and using LEA adapter?...just curious...

Also, haven't had a chance to try this lens out...anyone else use this Sigma and you thoughts about the lens....
 
As I've finally got the time to play with the new camera and do side by side comparisons between the Sigma and the kit lens, it is time for the Sigma to go by by...was giving up too much by not having the capability for OS for any run and gun work...beginning to realize why so many people do like the kit lens for certain applications...
