Sigma 18-35 F1.8

I just got the Sigma 18-35 F1.8 in for use on
my FS700. It's a sweet lens that is really nice
for the super 35 cinema cams.....you can get
the wider angle shots with shallow depth of field
if you like or stop down and take advantage of
the incredible sharpness of this lens. Even
sharp wide open. Nice smooth focus and zoom
rings, plus nice focus throw. Very well made lens
especially for video shooters. Review and test footage
on my blog within the next couple days.

You have to search for it. The lens is SUPER popular, I got my lens from Ohio (i'm in LA)... couldn't find a single one close by.

It's an amazing lens on my Pocket and 2.5K Blackmagic Cameras.

Check brick and mortar stores near you. I got mine a few days after calling, about a month ago. It's very good.

Hey Kholi out of interest have you tried the lens on your BMCC MFT? I know you have both EF and MFT, just wondering how it is on the MFT. Ps sent you a rambling lens PM on BMCUSER my apologies!

Sometimes I don't get my PMs! Sorry about that. I will check it after I consume some animal fat. xD

I've tried it on the MFT, EF, and Pocket Camera. It's ace, and almost never comes off of the pocket camera as of right now.

This is what the sigma 18-35mm f1.8 with the metabone speedbooster looks like. I shoot most of my footage with this lens

How did you get the Sigma 18-35/1.8 on the Speedbooster???

Are the Nikon SIgmas shipping now?

Really cool work, Daomay, thanks for doing this!

Any chance of doing a bokeh test of the Sigma on the FS700 with and without the SpeedBooster (assuming you have a regular Metabones EF to NEX adapter)?

The Sigma 18-35 is a APSC only lens....it won't cover FF sensor. It works fine for FS700 with the regular metabones adapter.
It 'may' work at certain focal lengths with the Speedbooster, but it will certainly vignette at the wider angles.

Very nice work on the video Daomay, that's some good looking stuff. I notice you like to use a lot of flares in your work,
you do a good job with that too.

It's been about 35, rainy and blowing 50 here since I got the lens so I haven't been able to get out and shoot with it
yet. Tuesday is 'supposed' to get nicer and I am also scheduled for a shoot that day, so it will get a work out then.
