Sigma 17-50mm won't mount on Commlite Nikon F to E-mount adapter

I just got a Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 (Nikon mount), and it won't mount on my Nikon F to E-mount dumb adapter (Commlite CM-NF-NEX). All my Nikon AIS, D, & G series zooms and primes mount fine onto the adapter as well as my Nikon SLR; the same goes for my manual and AF Tokina lenses. It looks like the Sigma's mount protrudes too deep into the adapter to allow it to connect properly. Is this a compatibility issue, or do I have a bad copy lens or adapter?

Update: The Sigma 17-50mm works perfectly with a K&F dumb adapter, so the issue must be incompatibility or a defect on the adapters end. I sent several emails to Commlite, but they haven't responded to any of them. I actually bought the Commlite adapter used, and I've had it since summer, so I can't return it.

I don't own any of these adpaters, but I have a question.

The Viltrox adapter looks like the same as the Commlite so maybe I should stay away. Looking for a solid Nikon G to Sony E adapter with aperture control.

How is the K&F dumb adapter? Are the mounts perfectly tight on both sides?

The K&F and Commlite both have about the same amount of play, but that might very with each manufacturing run. The commlite has more fine tuned aperture adjustments and a tripod mount. It's weird, the commlite works with every lens except my Sigma. Just make sure that you buy the adapter from a place with a good return policy.
