Sigma 105 Macro 2.8

I've got a Sigma 105 Marco 2.8 that is sticking a little when i'm shooting still, as in when I expose, the lens stays at the exposure I dialed up instead of reopening to wid open, like I was pressing the DOF preview button and th metering is all wrong. I the apeture lever feels sticky like it needs oiled, what should i do shouldi get it serviced or can i do something myself ?

put it in the oven for a while. i don't have the exact formula but as long as you don't fry it you're fine, maybe 70˚C for half an hour but don't trust me on that one. i've used the backseat of a car on a sunny day, works too. after it's nice and hot just turn all the rings and activate all the levers and buttons, iterate, it will soon be smoother. good luck.
