Side by Side Comparison...

The M2 can really soften things up, but on shallow DOF shots it is not that obvious. I would not shoot anything wide with the M2. My buddy has done EXTENSIVE tests with all of these adapters and he is very impressed with the new Letus35XL Flip v2. I messed with it this week and it is easily the sharpest of the adapters. I suppose attaching to the lens mount of the XL2 or XLH probably helps a great deal as you dont have to shoot thru the stock lens. I feel the M2 is a much better choice for the HVX and he would concur. He is a JVC fan and testing the new LetusHD100 this weekend.

Wow, I cannot wait to see this test. And yes, ideally, a split screen of the same scene would be VERY nice to see. Anyways, one week and a bit until the proposed shoot date. Can't wait for the results!

Haakon,

No specific memorable scenes requests here. I would like to see how 'subtle' the DoF can be. Using F11-F16+ settings, clearly outside shoot with lots of light, unless you stumble on a few lighting trucks and crew for indoors.

A lot of the tests to date (not all) show very intense DoF imo, and I would appreciate seeing the opposite, whilst seeing that 35mm feel you get from the adapter/lens. Thank you for your consideration of this request and have a good shoot.

Any LetusHD100 news?

Any LetusHD100 news?

Hello:)
I am waiting for the LetusHD100 examples...anybody finished the test??
I'm going to order this adapter if it'll work well.
Could you help me with my decision?
Thanks
Tom Ostrowski.

Hi Tom,

The test is with the M2, not the Letus - however, I am hoping that anyone who's interested in seeing the results of using a 35 adapter will find it useful.

The project is changing slightly, so hang in there. It's coming soon.
