Sick of pulldown

Wait... wait..... wait....

Edius Neo 2 Booster & Edius 5 just may actually work.... after speaking to several people and running about 19 gagillion tests i think I have it.... native editing of the gh1 1080 59i files on a 23.98 timeline that WILL let you frame edit as if you were working on the 24p already transcoded with pulldown removal already done.... and it's smooth as butter on my windows quad core i7.

i think... rendering out my 20th test now to an mpeg 4 and I think it worked....

I don't really understand the edius workflow and tool set yet it's a bit backwards and doing a simple thing like a proper insert and audio fade out and making a dissolve last the duration i want in the direction of the clip I want is frustrating me.. it does cooky things and changes speeds of clips and moves the whole damn timeline or chunks of it around even when I don't have it in ripple mode... I am sure it's me I just don't understand it yet and am used to vegas and premiere cs4 BUT... after tweaking some settings.... I think i got it working... I am hitting frame advance and getting 24 frames in a second - progressive....

should I render it out with time code stamped on it?

cry...

I may have spoke too soon...

It LOOKS like it is doing it right and it renders out nearly passable but upon closer inspection to files with the pulldown removed with neoscene it looks like neoscene does it correctly and edius is still doing something weird....

please if someone knows the proper edius work flow for this to actually work let me know.. or maybe it just doesn't...
