Shuttered Hummingbirds in Flight

I happened upon some hummingbird feeders the other day so I pulled out the camera and shot some footage in the DVX's shuttered mode. It's pretty interesting looking to see that the shutter can essentially stop their wings in motion.

The 2nd half of the clip is non-shuttered but still nice looking so I added it.

Nice I've never shot anything in "shuttered mode" before. Looks good.

Can you slow down the second half of that clip? The colors in that one are popping, but the motion of the feeder in real time makes it a little queasy! Nice work.

Looks like claymation from Clash of the Titans. That's so cool! The second shot (no shutter) looks awesome. Great DoF.

Damn, I bet humming birds are really good at darts.

I haven't ever used shuttered mode, interesting. I like the second shot a lot.
