Shutter speed

Hello. What is the slowest shutter speed i can achieve with the HVX202. When i go shutter speed select, the slowest shutter speed i can get is 1/60. I remember with the DVX it was 1/25. But a much slower shutter speed can be achieved by going through the menu functions.

Can the HVX do this?

if it is anything like the dvx, then when you put shutter OFF you get 1/48th which is the most film like shutter. try that?

PAL HVX202 should be able to do 1/12 if you have your cam in 25p.

What you were mentioning about the menu controls, you can use syncro scan to select just about any shutterspeed you want, either in degrees or fractions.

The HVX202 can do 1/2 second if you use the "frame rate hack" to get to 2fps and set the shutter to "synchro scan" at 350.0 degrees.

Or if you're in Video Cam mode you can get the 1/12 shutter speed by choosing a frame rate of 25p.
