Joe,

The motion picture standard is a 180 degree shutter angle. So, half the frame rate. 24p = 1/48 shutter. 30p, 60i = 1/60 shutter.

If you want to do a 50% slow mo, cut the shutter time in half: 1/96 or 1/120.

One additional question: Is there a way to add the 1/96 shutter speed to the cameras memory so I can call it up as I scroll through shutter speeds?

I don't think so. Doesn't it have 1/100. That's plenty close enough.

Ok. I didn't know if it had to be an exact mathmatical equation for optimal results.
