shutter speed shooting a breakdancer

i need some help

i do know how to operate a dvx100b, but it'll be my first time shooting with it on an actual studio set. I'm shooting the breakdancer with a white background with enough lighting surronding him. the question i have is...

what would be the best setting ?
he is breakdancing, so his legs will be flying everywhere at high speed, so i'm assuming the shutter speed needs to be a lil higher than 60?

i'll probably be shooting at 24pa, cine-like, but i dun't know which shutter speed to use. thanks

eh, try 250. truth is there's no right shutter speed, you just goota try them and see whats best. It's really easy, just get ready to shoot and before you roll, frame up the dancer, ask him to twirl around, and scroll through the shutter speeds once or twice. I'm sure you'll know which you like best.

Well, if you want to capture his motion with no staccatto you'll want 1/24

I'd probably stick with 1/48.

The faster your shutter speed the faster the motion will look too. Keep that in mind.

thanks for the tips.

i'll be shooting both moving and fixed, and also with a wide angle lens.
