Shutter speed for Full HD on GH2

I recently had a bit of a duh moment. I have been shooting Full HD (not Cinema 24p) at 100 shutter rather than 50. I assumed since it was 50i I should really double the shutter speed to get the correct motion blur. But I have since realised that it is actually 25 frames per second really even though when viewed it is an interlaced format. When I de-interlace it looks fine, but what's the pro's take on this.

I can get a fairly decent half speed using each interlaced frame using ReVision Fieldskit in After Effects. So if I know that's what I will be doing with a shot would I shoot at 100 shutter knowing I will be extracting to a 50 frames per second clip.

Anyway roll on 25p that's all I can say, then I could leave all this de-interlacing nightmare behind me

regards

Richard
